NOTE: Do not open heat packet outer packing until you are ready to use the heating feature
1. Unpack CAMERA DUCK All Weather Covers, there should be: 1 main cover, (if ordered 1 telephoto sleeve) 4 replaceable 4"x 6" large heat packets, 2 desiccant packets, 1 instruction sheet, 1 clear zip lock storage bag.
2. Without opening the heat packs slip them into the pockets inside the Cover. Store them here until you need heat (typically when the outside temperature gets to about 38° F). Conversely you may store the unopened heat packets in another convenient location like a camera bag and load them when ready to use.
3. Open the bottom Velcro strip, slip the cord locks to the end of the front and rear cords.
4. Insert the camera into the rear opening making sure the Velcro strip lines up with the bottom of the camera, allow the lens to poke through the front opening. Slip the front cord lock up snug so that the elastic holds onto the lens. Be sure you position it so that it does not interfere with the focusing rotation of the lens.
5. If you are using a tripod simply open the bottom Velcro strip to allow for attachment of the camera to the tripod and close the Velcro back around the tripod area.
6. For maximum heating efficiency keep the rear opening closed until you're ready to shoot
WHEN HEAT IS REQUIRED
1. Open the heat packet's outer packaging, shake it a little, and it is ready to use. Replace it into a pocket inside the Cover. The All Weather Cover has 4 pockets but you may only require 1 heat packet depending on the temperature. If only 1 heat packet is required put it in the pocket closest to your camera's battery compartment.
2. Keep the All Weather Cover rear opening closed and only open it as required for shooting.
3. For maximum efficiency every few hours squeeze the heat packs and pockets to avoid clumping
4. If you do not fully use a heat packet during your shoot you may use the included zip lock bag to store the partially used heat packet. When necessary replace the heat packet into a pocket.
CHANGING LENSES
1. Unzip the front cord lock and spread the elastic. Stretch the opening and temporarily pull it back toward the camera body. Change lenses as normal being careful not to catch any Cover fabric in between the lens and camera. Pull the All Weather Cover's front elastic back snug over the new lens.
TELEPHOTO LENSES
1. If you are using a telephoto lens that is too long for the Standard Cover you will need to purchase the "Telephoto Sleeve" that will easily adapt to the long lens and is used in conjunction with the All Weather Cover.
ACCESSORIES
1. Extra heat packets may be purchased through International Supplies. If you're on the road heat packets are generally available at most sporting goods stores. All Weather Cover pockets are capable of holding a maximum 5" x 6.5" heat pack.
