The CAMERA DUCK All Weather Cover is a product of Science Research and Development an engineering consulting company
located in Carpinteria, CA, a small beach community just South of Santa Barbara. On a winter trip to the Grand Canyon I had a brand
new and very expensive SLR camera "freeze up" after about 10 minutes on a tripod taking pictures on a sunny day in a temperature just
under 32 degrees F. As you can imagine I wasn't very happy and had a few choice words to say since I thought my trip was ruined.
Since the conditions were perfect for great pictures of snow around the Canyon I had planned on staying for 3 days so I went back to my
hotel and started looking in to what went wrong. Well, to my surprise, the answer was no harder to find than just reading the temperature
specifications in my camera's owners' manual. I have to admit I did not realize that the lower end of my camera's operating temperature
range was 32 degrees F. Curious I went online and looked at other camera's manuals and sure enough all that I found had the same
range weather entry level or professional.

Luckily there was a small sporting goods store close by so I got some secret ingredients and built the first All Weather Cover prototype.
It worked flawlessly for a mock up and the next 2 days I spent all day in the snow with my camera out on a tripod and had no "freeze ups".
The temperature got down to 10 degrees and still no problems.

As an engineer that is cursed with the need to solve any problem like this the trip home was spent designing in my head the next
generation All Weather Cover. The first thing I did was the required paper work to protect the design and send in the Provisional (patent
pending) documents. Then I did a patent search along with trying as hard as I could to find something like what I had designed. Needless
to say I found nothing so as fast as I could I started down the product development road.

I now have most stages ready and am very close to initial release of the All Weather Cover for sale to the public through various outlets.

Update!! Camera Ducks are now available at B&H Photo Video, Amazon, Focus Camera click
here. If your local store does
not carry Camera Duck yet please suggest they become a dealer and contact us
here. As the process unwinds I will from time
to time update this story. As hard as it is these days, so far, I am able to keep the entire process "made in the USA" since my goal is to
provide the very best quality and quality control.

One last thing, since I have been using and testing the Camera Duck on my own cameras I have discovered that it is a good idea and
very convenient to just leave it on the camera all the time. The rip stop nylon is so thin and light weight that it's just as easy to slip the
camera into my backpack with the All Weather Cover over it. It helps you get used to it and really protects your cameras from the outside
world.

Thanks for listening and check back once in a while for an update.

Sincerely,

Loren
